To include essential results to your armor or upgrades, you need to discover a dwarf called Dagna. The schematics needed to make equipment are divided into 3 tiers.
There are five new weapon schematics. Their damage is slightly higher than anything else you can craft but they don't have upgrade slots and they look ugly making them inferior. For armor, there is one new craftable armor. It's armor rating is slightly better than anything else you can craft but it has no upgrade slots making it inferior.
